Add the sugar and pour over the whiskey. Stir or shake gently to combine.<\/p>\n<p>Seal the jar and store in a cool, dark place for at least 4\u20136 weeks, shaking every few days to help the sugar dissolve and flavours blend.<\/p>\n<p>After a month, taste it. Too strong? Add a touch more sugar. Too sweet? A splash more whiskey. You\u2019re in charge here!<\/p>\n<p>Once you&#8217;re happy with the flavour, strain the liqueur through muslin or a fine sieve, then decant into a clean bottle.<\/p>\n<p>For a smoother, richer flavour, let it mature for another month or two.
